I am an artist painter, fortunate to live in one of the most interesting villages in South Yorkshire - Sprotbrough. My blog is about the subjects I have painted in the past, and more recently, since 2012 when I became Volunteer Artist in Residence, to raise funds for Potteric Carr, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's flagship nature reserve, the flora and fauna of this most beautiful and interesting reserve.
Its not often that I use someone else's material for a painting but on this occasion I was completely blown away by the photographs taken by Sue and Roger Bird of a nest box with two nests, (the smaller a wrens and the larger a blackbirds ) at YWT Potteric Carr nature reserve in Doncaster.
